    The Queen held a Council via video link at 2.30 p.m..

    There were present: the Rt. Hon. Jacob Rees-Mogg MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. Dr. Thérèse Coffey MP (Secretary of State for Work and Pensions), the Rt. Hon. Dominic Raab MP (Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs and First Secretary of State) and the Rt. Hon. Grant Shapps MP (Secretary of State for Transport).

    Mr. Richard Tilbrook was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

    The Rt. Hon. Boris Johnson MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty via telephone this evening.

    By command of The Queen, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) telephoned His Excellency Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to the Court of St. James's.

    The Queen was represented by Professor Sir Hew Strachan (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale) at the Funeral of Lieutenant Colonel Aidan Sprot (formerly Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Tweeddale) which was held at Cross Kirk, Peebles, this afternoon.

    The Duke of Kent was represented by Lieutenant General Sir Norman Arthur.
